Fundamental Movement Screening
- We will take each camper's body through seven fundamental movement patterns that will tell us if it possesses limitations in basic movements or if there are any asymmetries - a telling sign of muscle and joint compensation and the best predictor of musculoskeletal injury available. Each camper receives "homework" based on the outcome of the movement screen. Check out the Fundamental Movement website to learn more about its benefits.
Speed Mechanics Drills
- We will break down the components of speed showing the athletes how to train to increase speed and efficiency in movement. Our running drills will teach them proper form. Our sprinting resistance sessions will add strength and range of motion to the gait. Our reactionary drills and overspeed training will teach the muscles how to fire quicker with a given stimulus.
Plyometrics
- All sports require the body to have the ability to efficiently and quickly move its weight from one position to another. We have a series of plyometric exercises that safely and gradually get the most of the body's explosiveness.
Strength & Conditioning
- Strength is the basis of all athleticism. We can't be fast if we're not strong. We can't be quick or explosive if we're not strong. We can't be flexible if we're not strong. We can't be good or great athletes if we're not strong. Each camp will have a strength building session. And each camper will receive an informational packet on strength training exercised that can be done at home or at the gym.
